The In-House Encounter Application was created in efforts to capture and record all inpatient encounters (Code Blues, RRT, Consults, etc.) and Ultrasounds that occur in relation to and as part of emergency department services.
The intent of the app is to log all encounters that may otherwise be overlooked and share these encounters with our billing company.  You must still document and dictate appropriately to receive credit.  When appropriately recording all patient encounters, this will help increase billing efficiencies and in turn maximize the reimbursement pool.
